Weekly Update | Fitness Freak Friday | Week 1

Posted on

So yesterday I stood on the scale and to my surprise there was NO change. Yep good ole 141 still but I’m maintaining so that’s a good thing I guess. I still have some type of feeling about this…not bad, but did I do everything I could to make it go down? NO! So I am back to where I stated but I do feel better. I have started to watch what I eat and have managed to keep myself at 1400 calories for the day.

I went for a check up this week and my blood pressure was 151/101 and  I think the light bulb came on to start taking my medicine. I have never seen it that high before and i started to worry that I could really be hurting myself in the long run. I have a good friend that recently had heart failure due to his high blood pressure and I really don’t want that to happen so I need to take these meds.

Last Week!

I stared the Cooper Challenge and declared that I wanted to make a change in my life. If you are visiting for the first time you can hop back to the beginning of my challenge and read about me and why I am working to better my health.

This Week!

I cheated this week… I got extremely hungry and went to KFC. This is a big NO! To do better i need to find a more filling  breakfast and mid morning snack.  So week two I am still working out the kinks so 1. I can find great workout times and 2. I need to find ways to stay full all day long without eating all the bad stuff. I started dancing again this week and had a great time.

My Goals!

  • Drink more water
  • Run Daily
  • No Fast Food!
  • Maintain Blood Pressure

  1. I feel you… I have been hitting the gym four or five days a week, I eat healthy and the scale hasn’t moved… AHHH!!! Hubby said it is because of muscle, but I just don’t know!!! Good luck to you and your goals

  2. Awesome! I need to get more diligent about my fitness posts. Reading yours reminded me that I didn’t do one last week!

I agree that broiled tilapia is a great dish when you’re trying to get healthier. Lots of herbs and it’s fabulous and the protein keeps you full for a long time! I lost 40 lbs once and I owe a lot of it to broiled tilapia!

  3. Everyone slips up once in a while. The important thing is to get back on track, and it sounds like you did.
